Is it true that small business needs accountant?
what about the ones who can't afford it ? Like brand new business ?
All businesses should have an accountant. Makes it all so much easier when tax time rolls along. You can be your own accountant if you are a small business and have some basic knowledge of accounting. There are also accounting software packages that you can purchase to help you out. For example, "MYOB – Mind Your Own Business" has some really good software packages for the small to medium businesses. Check them out. Failing that, it is always helpful if you have accountant friends or family who can give you advice.

I think small businesses need accountants. An acct. can advise you on filing all necessary taxes (sales, corporate, fed. state) & can advise you on keeping out of hot water (work. comp, liab. ins. fire ins., etc). I would seek out an acct. as soon as the business is generating cash flow. Brand new businesses especially should seek some professional help so that once they are established, the business is following the tax codes and laws.
